12 schools in SouthCot ready for face-to-face classes

The Department of Education (Deped) – South Cotabato Division has confirmed that  twelve (12) schools are ready for face-to-face classes if the national government particularly the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) will issue the order for its implementation anytime soon.

DepEd Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Ruth Estacio confirmed during the recent Kapihan sa Kapitolyo media forum that the 12 schools are in Lake Sebu and Tboli located in the upper valley of the province.

SDS Estacio disclosed that said schools, which she did not identify, will still implement blended learning which is a combination of face-to-face and modular learning.

“But we will only allow 20 students per classroom in order to comply with the basic minimum health standards such as wearing of face mask, proper hand-washing and observance of 1-meter social distancing,” SDS Estacio added.

Lake Sebu and Tboli have registered low CoViD-19-positive cases in the province, which is the reason that the 12 schools were selected for face-to-face class.
