KORONADAL- The construction of a Php15 million “Bahay Pag-asa” (House of Hope) in the province is expected to conclude this month.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, Sonia Bautista highlighted the substantial support this project offers to the province, particularly in the care of children in conflict with the law.
She also noted that the facility is designed to accommodate 30 children in conflict with the law, in addition to the employees responsible for its management.
The establishment of a “Bahay Pag-asa” in the province aligns with the provisions of Republic Act 9344, as amended by Republic Act 10630 series of 2015, which mandates that each province and highly urbanized city in the country should have such a facility.
This center will not only serve as a shelter but also provide genuine care and rehabilitation for young individuals.
The official launch of the center is scheduled for the upcoming month.
