KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO-The Provincial Government of South Cotabato receives the 464 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) from Metro Manila through “Hatid Tulong Program” with the help and support of Incident Management Team (IMT).
The “Hatid Tulong Program” is an initiative of the national government to send backs home all the stranded individuals to their home province.
At least 23 bus units of Partas Tours from Metro Manila carrying the said LSIs successfully arrived at the South Cotabato Sports Complex through the “Hatid Tulong Program” of the National Government in cooperation of Incident Management Team (IMT) of South Cotabato.
Out of 464 LSIs, 137 are from South Cotabato, while 116 from Sarangani, 94-General Santos City, 71-Sultan Kudarat, 22-Maguindanao thru SK, 10-Maguindanao mix-up thru South Cotabato, and 14 others from neighbouring region.
From 137 coming from the Province, 7 are from Municipality of Banga, while 26 from Lake Sebu, 11-Norala, 9-Polomolok, 3- Sto. Niño,20 –Surallah, 2 –T’boli, 3 –Tampakan, 16 –Tantangan, 21 –Tupi, and 19 from Koronadal.
Meanwhile, Governor Tamayo assures that upon their arrival in the province immediately the team will provide free food, free accommodation on the 45 partas bus drivers, provide free face mask and also follow the proper turn-over to the different LGUs to ensure that protocols are being followed.
On the other hand, the Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) extends their heartfelt gratitude to the team for the warm welcome.
According to Provincial Health Officer and Incident Commander Dr. Rogelio B. Aturdido Jr. that whatever the team needed it must be provided according to the order of Governor Tamayo.
Lastly, the team of “Hatid Tulong Program” are glad for the success of this program especially the team from IPHO, PNP, BFP, ARMY, PDRRMO, PROVINCIAL TOURISM, RED CROSS, CITY TRAFFIC, KABALIKAT RADIO COMMUNICATORS, and PIO basuce despite of the long hours of drive they can still see the flashes of smiles from their faces.
