South Cotabato delivers 54 pick up for first district

TUPI, SOUTH COTABATO- The Provincial Government of South Cotabato led by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. spearheaded the turn-over of six (6) units brand new pick-up to the following barangays of the Municipality of Tupi:

  • Palian
  • Lunen
  • Poblacion
  • Acmonan
  • Linan
  • Tubeng

The said activity was graced by Tupi Municipal Mayor Romeo S. Tamayo, Vice Mayor Glenn C. Hatulan, SP Member Noel Escobillo, SB members, and barangay captains.

As of press time, PGSC awards 54 brand new Isuzu pick up to all barangays of the province (first congressional district) comprising the towns of Tampakan, Tupi and Polomolok.

Gov. Tamayo said that next to receive are barangays of Surallah, Sto. Niño, T’boli, Lake Sebu, Banga, Norala, Tantangan and Koronadal City of the second congressional district. He said that budget to purchase the vehicles were sourced from the 2020 annual budget passed by Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

He also clears that he has to give a brand new pick up instead of second hand to ensure that services and operations will run smoothly.

Each vehicles purchased cost amounting to Php 999,801.00.

He also added that barangays can use the issued vehicle as ambulance, rescue and relief operations, disaster operations and other emergency situations.
