KORONADAL CITY – The Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council gets Php6 million increase on its annual budget this year with the approval of the Php14.5 million.
PADAC permanent representative and Board member Agustin Dema-ala announced during the first quarter joint Provincial and Municipal ADAC meeting held earlier this city.
Said budget will be apportioned to the different clusters or functions implemented by different member agencies.
Php 2.3 million will be intended for the Enforcement Cluster implemented by the South Cotabato Police Provincial Office (SCPPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XII.
Php3.24 million for the Advocacy Cluster implemented by the different agencies such as the SCPPO, Department of Education, Provincial Information Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Population Office, City of Koronadal and the Sangguniang Kabataan.
Rehabilitation Cluster gets Php1 million to be implemented by the Integrated Provincial Health Office, Parole and Probation office and; the South Cotabato Rehabilitation and Detention Center.
The bigger allocation of Php 5.9 million was given to the strengthening of the Provincial, Municipal, City and the barangay anti-drug abuse councils including the operating expenses of the PADAC.
This budget will include the conduct of the annual search for Outstanding Municipal and City ADAC and the purchase of one unit vehicle for easy mobility in times of evaluation and other council activities.
