KORONADAL CITY- It is the pride of the people of South Cotabato especially the drug personalities, to have their new rehabilitation center to help them slowly detached themselves from drugs.
This program is a partnership between the LGU Tupi, Provincial Government of South Cotabato, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), NGO’s and other involved agencies.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has a strong will and determination to eliminate the drug activities and drug users in the province.
Few months from now, the rehabilitation center will be open to cater the constituents of the province located at the municipality of Tupi.
“As of now everything is in place at the Rehabilitation Center… Within this year, it is expected to operate.” Tamayo said in a press conference with the media.
The RC was established in Tupi, because the said LGU donated the lot for the rehabilitation in conflict with the law.
“50-100 individual can accommodate for the rehabilitation program”. Tamayo added.
Staff will be needed for the operation like psychiatrist and nurses to assist the drug personalities.
