South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. lauded the accomplishment of the law enforcement operatives and the local government of Tampakan which led to the seizure of more or less 38,500 fully-grown marijuana hills with an estimated DDB value of Php7.7 million as a result of the joint PDEA, PNP and PA Operation held at the tri-boundaries of Kiblawan, Davao Del Sur, Tampakan, South Cotabato and Columbio, Sultan Kudarat on October 19, 2019 at around 11:48 o’clock in the morning.
During the ceremonial burning conducted today at the Tampakan Municipal Plaza, Governor Tamayo said: “ When there is unity, there is development in the community.”
He added, peace and order is one of the important ingredients in development which needs to be taken care of.
As the chairperson of the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Governor Tamayo ensures his full support to reduce the demand for illegal drugs in the province through various activities, while supply reduction is being conducted by law enforcement agencies.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of Tampakan Mayor Leonard Escobillo in the fight against illegal drugs in his municipality.

Present during the activity were PDEA Regional Director Naravy D. Duquiatan; PRO 12 Regional Director PBGen Alfred S. Corpus; BGEN Adonis R. Bajao of the 1002nd Infantry Brigade; and other officials.
