PCOO distributes FOI Kiosk, collaterals

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato through the Provincial Information Office received from Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Undersecretary Kristian R. Ablan the Freedom of Information (FOI) Kiosk, materials, and collaterals to uphold the right to information through transparent public service and good governance. To date, the Province of South Cotabato is one of the local government units in the country that has onboarded the Electronic Freedom of Information Portal (eFOI Portal) through www.foi.gov.ph. This means constituents can request information, data, and records easily at the tip of their fingers. This was made possible after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan has passed Provincial Ordinance No. 06, Series of 2020, known as the Freedom of Information Ordinance. The FOI ordinance is among the prime milestones of the Open Information commitment under the SC-OGP Action Plan which aims to Increase Inclusivity in Public Access to Government Information.
Aside from South Cotabato, the PCOO also distributed the same materials to LGU Tboli and LGU Gensan.
The FOI Kiosk was received by OIC-Provincial Information Officer Hydee S. Templonuevo and Assisted by BAU Chief Mr. Dennis Dignadice.
