Tourism Officers from the lone city and ten (10) municipalities of South Cotanato met recently to finalize activities of the National Tourism Month (NTM) celebration this September, spearheaded by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit.
Tboli Tourism Officer Rodel Hilado, Association of Tourism Officers of South Cotabato President presided over the meeting assisted by ACTM Tourism Operations Officer I Francisco Cerbo Jr. Hilado and Cerbo discussed the final NTM program of activities from September 15 – 30 which will involve the active participation of 11 LGUs and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) of the South Cotabato Rehabilitation and Detention Center (SCRDC) on their Product Display and Selling..
Twelve (12) 3-meter x 3-meter booths will be installed at the 4th floor, Cinema Lobby, KCC Mall, City of Koronadal in the duration of the 16-day activity where the participants will sell their products to the general public.
Present also during the meeting are representatives of KCC Mall who discussed the Mall’s Policies and the mechanics of the Ingress (September 14) and Egress (September 30).
Yesterday, the NTM launching with the theme “Tourism for Inclusive Growth” opened at around 3pm through virtual medium using the Land of the Dreamweavers Official Facebook Page.
Hed by Rose AM Astrologo, ACTM Program Assistant, the program featured the inspirational message of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., the rationale of the Provincial Tourism Month Celebration and the schedule of Tourism Month Activities.
The NTM will also feature the Ceremonial Opening of the Tourism Investment, Product Display and Trade Fair at 2pm on September 15 at KCC Mall. After the ceremonial cutting of ribbon, preliminaries and welcome message of STOO Argie Ryan Asaria, the Reading of the Guidelines and Mechanics of the 2021 NTM Booth Competition will be rendered by Tboli MTO hilado. BM Gliezel Mariano – Trabado, SP Commoittee Chair on Tourism will likewise render her message. An acoustic performance meanwhile will serve as the intermission number during the opening ceremony.
Highlight of the NTM celebration will be the Hair and Fashion Gala on September 30 of award-winning hair stylist Marlon “Olai” Estrabon and Sofia Jude Palmejar with the participation of the South Cotabato Power House Neophyte Models.
