POLOMOLOK – The construction of a vital road, linking the National Highway Junction in Barangay Galamang, Polomolok town, to Barangay Basag in T’boli town, is well underway. The project, with a budget of Php19,983,295.87, is currently at an advanced stage, with 93% completion.
Under the directive of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., the enhancement of provincial roads has been fast-tracked to improve the convenience of travel for residents. This initiative particularly benefits students on their way to school and streamlines the transportation of goods.
Governor Tamayo emphasizes the significance of this project, highlighting it as a top priority of the administration. Well-paved and cemented roads are integral to the efficiency of government service delivery.
Lenie Acebo, a resident of Purok 8 in Barangay Glamang, revealed that their community has endured over 36 years of challenging travel conditions on this road, especially during the rainy season. During such times, they had to walk for nearly an hour and a half before reaching the cemented road.
The 1.34-kilometer road is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Polomolok and T’boli.
Today, they express their gratitude to Governor Tamayo for the substantial improvement in their daily lives, especially students who no longer need to wake up early to avoid being late.
Governor Tamayo recently completed a visit of all 199 barangays across the province to gain a deeper understanding of the real-life situations of residents and address their concerns.
Governor Tamayo remains dedicated to advancing the development of all sectors within the province during his term.
