PDRRMO extends aid to residents affected by landslides and floods

In the aftermath of a landslide in Sitio Lamfugon, Barangay Tinago, Norala town, impacting more than 77 families, and extensive flooding in Tantangan town, affecting over 1,400 families, swift action was taken.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. promptly directed the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to extend assistance to the affected residents.

Assurances were made by OIC-PDRRMO Rolly Doane C. Aquino that aid from the province would reach those in need. However, due to the recent barangay and SK elections, the aid was coordinated through the Philippines Red Cross South Cotabato to ensure it reached the victims.

The assistance included kitchen materials, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and food packs. Concurrently, the PDRRMO conducted home assessments to efficiently distribute materials to the affected families.
