PSWDO empowers 108 persons with Disabilities with assistive devices

KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO- The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) has extended assistance to 108 persons with disabilities (PWDs) by providing them with essential assistive devices during the first quarter of the year.

A total of 80 beneficiaries receiving wheelchairs, 1 beneficiary equipped with a cane, 11 recipients provided with quad canes, 2 individuals supported with walkers, and 14 people receiving hearing aids.

Brian Hervilla, from the Persons with Disability Affairs Unit, emphasized that this endeavor resonates with the vision of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. The Governor’s directive underscores the importance of equipping PWDs with assistive devices, thereby enabling them to navigate their daily lives with greater ease and independence.
