Visitor Arrival from January to May this year jumped to 955,665, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit reported.
his despite the fact that the province suffered from “el nino” phenomenon in which farms especially crops were badly damaged due to extreme hot temperature.
The substantial increase was due to the contribution for the month of May that totaled 182,164 visitors, comprising of Same Day Visitors and Overnight Guests.
Breakdown of the 2024 5-month visitor arrival are as follows: January – 175,274, February – 168,632, March – 267,817, April – 161,778.
