Road projects top PEO P96-M Completed Projects

Road projects topped the list of projects completed by the Provincial Engineers Office (PEO) province-wide from January to July 2015, which consisted mainly of concreting, completion or rehabilitation of roads.

PEO reported that some 36 infrastructure projects worth P96,006,333.80 were completed during the 7-month period of the year.

The completed road projects consisted mainly of concreting, completion or rehabilitation works such as Concreting of Junction National Highway – Paraiso – Tingkop Farm-to-Market Road in Tantangan and Koronadal City; Concreting of Libas – Maibu Farm-to-Market Road in Tantangan; Concreting of Lamsalome – Lambangan Farm-to-Market Road in T’boli; Completion of El Nonok Road, Banga; Concreting of Junction National Highway – Lamian Road, Surallah; Rehabilitation of Junction National Highway-New Iloilo-Cabuling Road, Tantangan; Upgrading of Lamcaliaf – Cannery Road, Polomolok and National Highway – El Nonok – Rang-ay Road, Banga and Improvement of Moloy – Tapok Road, Surallah.

Earlier, PEO completed four (4) concrete lined canal projects along Junction National Highway Cebuano-Provincial Road in Tupi, Lugan (Habitat) in T’boli, Sinolon – T’boli Highway and along Bridge Approach of Kipalbig Bridge, Tampakan.

Likewise, barangay and school projects implemented include Construction of Power House at Philippine Science High School, Koronadal City, Construction of Multi-Purpose Pavement in Sitio New Leyte, Topland, Koronadal City, Purok 3, Tupi and Palo 19, Tampakan, Construction of mini-gym at Cebuano, Tupi, Construction of 2 Barangay Stage in Tinongkop and Bukay Pait, all in Tantangan; Construction of 5-span Gym and Stage at KCES 1, Koronadal City; Construction of Mini-Gym in Tasiman, Lake Sebu; Construction of Barangay Stage in Improgo, Banga; Construction of Barangay Stage inPanay, Sto. Nino; Completion of Lamian National High School Gym, Surallah; and, Completion of Gym and Stage at Sto. Nino National High School, Sto. Nino and Labor for Finishing, Walling and Painting of 140-sq,m, Exterior, Renovtion-Extension of 36 sq.m. Dining Room and Installation of 3 pcs. French Windows of Kalyong Day Care Center – Polomolok.

Two (2) projects, the Talahik Foot Bridge in Surallah and Klinan 6 Hanging Bridge Abutment “B” Protection in Polomolok, were also repaired and constructed during the same period.

To further improve the client service of the provincial government, several projects were instituted such as the Improvement of Jail Facilities (Dalawan Function Room), payment for labor cost for the construction of 1-room ALS Building and Stockroom at the South Cotabato Rehabilitation and Detention Center, the Upgrading of Cash Receipts and Cash Disbursement Center of at Provincial Treasurers Office (Finance Building and lately, the Refurbishing and Improvement of Provincial Capitol with Architectural Lighting, Koronadal City.

Other projects completed were the refurbishing of Supply Office and 2 Ward Rooms of Patient at Norala District Hospital (Norala), refurbishing of SUNAS Old Dormitory as Bamboo Hub (Surallah) and payment of labor cost for the construction of Conference Hall of Animal Production and Processing Center in Tantangan.

PEO has still P113,696,418.06 on-going projects being implemented province-wide.
