The Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) reported that the Sand, Gravel and Mining (SGM) tax collection of the province from January to June this year now totaled P9,586,608.82.
PEMO earlier reported that the 5-month aggregate SGM collection was P8,042,267.37, while the latest collection for the month of June is P1,537,170.00.
The SGM tax collection now has a monthly average collection of P1,597,768.14, based from the 6-month collection, which is higher than last year’s monthly average of P1,561,924.40.
The provincial share for the 6–month collection also now has a total of P 3,806,587.9.
PEMO was able to collect P18,743,092.83 SGM Tax for 2016, the highest since the creation of the office in 2007, but basing from the trend, it might surpass its 2016 SGM tax collection this year.
