CITY OF KORONADAL — Various artists are expected to perform next year in celebration of the National Arts Month on February, Senior Tourism Operations Officer Argie Ryan Asaria of the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum Unit (ACTMU) disclosed.
STOO Asaria said that the different Arts Disciplines will perform their respective talent in the month-long celebration.
Theater Arts Group “Apat sa Taglamig” will continue their Drama Festival involving Special Program for the Arts (SPA) students of the Department of Education (DepED) Schools Division every week on February 2024.
The Dance Sector will also continue their Folk Dance Workshop in preparation for the Second Level Folk Dance Competition which will be held during the forthcoming 25th T’nalak Festival on July 2024.
The Visual Arts Sector meanwhile will beautify in coordination with the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), the South Cotabato Community Museum. The sector, according to Asaria, will improve the “aesthetic appeal” of the museum.
South Cotabato Artisans/School of Living Traditions (SLT) owners likewise will promote and sell their products at a mall here which is the off-shoot of the product development training they have undergone.
Asaria also revealed that he will revive the Song-Writing Competition Kemnahe Lingon (I Dream of Songs). The musical pieces will be submitted on May next year while the competition wil be on July also of the same year.
