Changes to Assessment Transactions in South Cotabato Set for April Implementation

The Provincial Assessor’s Office of South Cotabato is pleased to announce a significant update to its assessment procedures, effective April 16, 2024.

To better serve valued clients and real property owners, all assessment transactions—including assessments, re-assessments, transfers, subdivisions, and consolidations—will now be processed directly at the municipalities where the respective properties are situated.

This strategic adjustment aims to streamline assessment processes and provide more accessible services to the community. By decentralizing activities, the office can offer personalized and localized assistance tailored to the unique needs of property owners across South Cotabato.

Additionally, the office reaffirms its commitment to prompt and efficient service by continuing to issue owner copies of tax declarations, certifications, total land holdings, and annotations.

Engr. Felix S. Sadiang-Abay, Jr., MPA, REA, head of the Provincial Assessor’s Office, requests the public’s cooperation and understanding during this transition period. He emphasizes the importance of these changes in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of assessment services province-wide.

As the April 16 deadline approaches, the Provincial Assessor’s Office will provide further guidance and clarification to ensure a smooth transition for all parties involved.

Property owners and clients are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these upcoming changes and to reach out to the Provincial Assessor’s Office for any inquiries or assistance regarding assessment transactions.

The office appreciates everyone’s attention and cooperation as they work towards improving services for the community.
