KORONADAL CITY- Chinese investors from Maylong Industries, together with their Filipino partners, met with the South Cotabato Economic and Investment Promotions Center (SCEIPC) headed by Mr. Tyron Jann B. Villanueva and his team, to discuss prospective marketing and distribution agreements of local agricultural products for importation to China.
SCEIPC presented to the potential investors the province’s Investment Profile which includes, among others, the Cost of Doing Business, Agricultural Data, and Basic Infrastructure Data. With the availability of these information and after a lengthy investors’ dialogue, the Chinese Team was able to establish an initial impression of the investment requirement to materialize their business plans.
The Provincial Governor, Hon. Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. vouched and affirmed that the Provincial Government will assist them until their goal is fully realized.
As part of the day-long investment exploration, the Chinese Team and SCEIPC met with Hon. Romeo S. Tamayo, the Municipal Mayor of Tupi, and Mr. Roshzien Agustin, the Municipal Agriculturist, to further discuss the Agricultural Profile of the municipality in detail. The team also met with the owner of VMOTRIL, a TESDA-accredited Agricultural School in Tupi, for a site visit.
