The Provincial Government of South Cotabato is set to implement the “Barangay Environment Enhancement Program” after it was recently approved for funding by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII under its Risk Resiliency Program. The said proposal will support the disaster resiliency programs in the 199 barangays in the province.
Earlier today, representatives from the DSWD XII Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB) headed by Ms. Naira S. Aratuc, DRMB Division Chief paid a courtesy call to the Office of the Governor to discuss the salient features of the program.
During the said meeting, Ms. Jazel J. Magno, Project Development Officer III, and Program focal person discussed the implementation guidelines, while Ms. Kalayaan Bat-og gave the overview of the project concept.
Mr. Rudy Jimenea, Chief of Staff from the Office of the Governor together with Ms. Sonia L. Bautista, Social Welfare IV, and Mr. Dennis D. Gasendo, Project Development Officer III on behalf of the provincial government, expressed gratitude to the DSWD for their continued support to the province.
