KORONADAL CITY- The Honorary Consul of Finland to Mindanao and concurrently the Chairperson of the European Chamber of the Philippines – Southern Mindanao Business Council, Atty. Antonio S. Peralta, and his delegation held a two-day exploratory conference and excursion with the officials of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato to usher prospective partnerships for investment, cultural amity, and education advocacy.
Spearheaded by the South Cotabato Economic and Investment Promotions Center (SCEIPC), the Provincial Government has presented its Investment Priority List to the Consul and his delegation for potential business-matching and investment cooperation. Alternately, the Consul showcased numerous investment possibilities that South Cotabato can tap to gear towards economic prosperity. This includes manpower education, renewable energy, machine fabrication, manufacturing industries, to name a few.
The Consul and his delegation met with the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Arthur Y. Pingoy, Jr and Board Member Miguel M. Matinong, SP Chairperson on Committe on Trade, Commerce, Industry, Economic Affairs, and Investment, and followed by the courtesy visit to the Provincial Governor, Hon. Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. in the afternoon.
The delegation together with the SCEIPC and the Provincial Tourism Office also visited the municipality of Lake Sebu for another set of exploratory and interface meeting.
