Filipino Achievers of Canada Extend Helping Hand with $296,500 Medical Aid to Norala

In a remarkable act of generosity, the Filipino Achievers of Canada (FAC), led by President Mrs. Corie Laraya Coutts, has contributed a substantial humanitarian aid package to the Municipality of Norala. The organization, known for its commitment to service and charitable endeavors, donated various medical equipment and supplies valued at approximately $296,500, specifically targeting the sick, poor, and needy constituents of Norala.

This benevolent effort was made possible through the coordination of FAC with World Medical Relief, Southfield Michigan, facilitated by the collaborative endeavors of Honorable Governor Reynaldo Sucayan Tamayo, Jr., and the Province of South Cotabato. Working in tandem with former NAPC Secretary and Lead Convenor Atty. Noel Kinazo Felongco and NAPC R12 Focal Person Mr. Andy Orobia, the contributions were channeled to address the pressing healthcare needs of the community.

Representatives of FAC, Mrs. Lorlie Laraya Abada, Mr. Jojo Sobrevega Laraya, and Mr. Francis Sobrevega Laraya—siblings of Dr. Rod Coutts and Mrs. Corie Laraya Coutts—were present during this compassionate endeavor.

Dr. Mila G. Quinton, head of Norala District Hospital, graciously received the contributions. Joining in this heartfelt ceremony were Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., Vice Governor Arthur Y. Pingoy, Jr., and members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

This collaborative effort underscores the impact of global solidarity in addressing pressing healthcare challenges and reflects the compassionate spirit of the Filipino Achievers of Canada towards their homeland.

The people of South Cotabato would like to say THANK YOU to the members of the Filipino Achievers of Canada for donating medical supplies and equipment intended for the sick people of the province. This act of kindness is not merely a gift; it is a beacon of hope that illuminates the path to better health for those in need.
