Four-month Quarry Tax Collection now P6.2-M

The Sand and Gravel and Mining (SGM) Tax collection of the provincial government from January to April this year is now P6,202,141.68, the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) reported.

The monthly SGM tax collection average is now more than P1.5 million which is higher compared to the P1.2 million monthly average in 2015, PEMO – Mines and Geo-Sciences Division chief Nencita Acain disclosed.

PEMO’s last year SGM collection totaled P14,372,192.53.

With this, the province’s share in the 4-month collection increased to P2,660,297.40, the PEMO report further showed.

The Provincial Imposition on Mining and Quarry include Sand and Gravel Tax, Mining Tax, Mining Permit fee, Ore Transport Fee, Occupational Mining Tax, Verification Fee, Filing Fee, Permit Fee, Projection Fee, Processing Fee, Fines/Penalties/Surcharges and Miscellaneous(Delivery Receipts).
