Kabugwason scholar is now a certified lawyer

Koronadal City— Sandra Mae Bonrustro, a Kabugwason Paglaum scholar during her law school in Sultan Kudarat State University, is in the list of the Bar Examination Result released recently.

She is the first Kabugwason scholar to pass the bar.

In her Facebook post she said: “From the start of this wonderful journey, the Lord is my refuge and my strength…Though bar may rise against me, in His faithfulness I will be confident.”

A Kabugwason law school student scholar receives a monthly stipend of P4, 000 and additional P10, 000 for their tuition fee every semester. During their Barx examination, the Provincial Government downloaded P45, 000.

Bonrustro was a graduate of  AB English at Notre Dame of Marbel University. She was with SOCOTECO before she decided to stop working and focus on her law school studies.

She was grateful for her new achievement but shared her triumph to those who never made it to this year’s bar.

“Ok lang umiiyak, ok lang din masaktan, ang bawal lang ang sumuko…Maghintay. Maghintay ng masaya…” she reiterated a dialogue in a Guerrero Dos movie.

In a message of thanks posted on her FB account, she encouraged fellow law school graduates who did not make it to “Laban lang soon to be attorneys.”

“Today does not define what lies ahead. As the Lord promised – Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strengths, they shall mount up with wings like eagles…”
