– LCAC approves Guidelines on Financial Assistance for 2022

CITY OF KORONADAL — The South Cotabato Local Culture and Arts Council (LCAC) endorsed during their yearend regular meeting held at Agua Frio, this city, the Guidelines and Procedures in Financial Assistance for individuals and groups for 2022.

Moved by Melba Jambangan of Tupi LGU and seconded by Rose Joyno of Tampakan LGU, the approved guidelines were set by LCAC in order to have a uniform standard in giving assistance to individual artists/cultural workers or groups.

The assistance that will be given to Individuals .will be maximum of P15,000, Groups (P20,000), Cultural Research/Other Activities (P20,00), School of Living Tradition (Maximum of P50,000), Weaving Loom Machines (Maximum of P25,000), For other Arts & Culture-Related Activities, assistance for ndividual for Local/Regional –P2,000; National – P5,000; International – P20,000, and, for Groups, assistance to Local/Regional – P5,000; National – P10,000; International – P50,000.

Requesting Party should comply with the requirements set by ACTM such as Letter Request addressed to the Provincial Governor detailing the event ans work to be done or performed. Attachments required include background/profile of the event, with breakdown of expenses, Endorsement Letter from Sectoral Group/LCAC/LCE and Signed Memorandum of Agreement between PGU and Requesting Party. Additional requirements include submission of Terminal Report to PGO – ACTM after the conduct of the activity.

Meanwhile, for Sectoral Groups, assistance will be given to 4 Groups  (Maximum of P20,000 each; Theaters Arts – One-Act Play (Maximum of P10,000). Fashion Designers/Artisans (Maximum of P5.000)

LCAC member Sally Palma representing the Provincial Budget Office said that in case the funds will be totally used up, ACTM can also augment funds coming from other office nudget and the requesting party may also request additional assistance from their respective LGU for their activity.
