LPP president and governor tamayo plan meeting with newly appointed head of department of agriculture

League of the Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) President and South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. are set to convene with the recently appointed head of the Department of Agriculture, Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., in a meeting scheduled for the upcoming week. The agenda will focus on discussing the priority programs of each province and sharing plans regarding consolidated rice farming in South Cotabato.

Governor Tamayo holds a firm belief that, based on his experiences, the agency can surpass expectations and successfully implement programs for farmers and fisherfolk nationwide. Governor Tamayo, known for his capabilities, expresses his commitment to taking the necessary steps for the welfare of the agricultural sector. He openly declared his acceptance of the position as the head of the Department of Agriculture, an offer extended by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., a position previously offered to Governor Tamayo in the past.

This meeting is anticipated to pave the way for more effective coordination and collaboration between the provinces and the Department of Agriculture, fostering the development of the agricultural sector in the region.
