CITY OF KORONADAL — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 has opened a One-Stop Service Center for OFWs (OSSCO) in the City Hall here recently.
The formal opening was made by Amuerfina Reyes, Deputy Administrator for Management Services of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) vice DOLE Undersecretary Ciriaco Calunzad III who was not able to attend due to an important commitment in Metro Manila.
In her message, Reyes stressed that even before they opened OSSCOs in key areas in the country including Koronadal City, they have served about 140,000 OFWs already.
“More OFWs are expected to be served,” Reyes added in her speech, in reference to the addition of another OSSCO in Koronadal City.
Thirteen (13) national line agencies are housed under one office at the fourth floor of the City Hall which will make their respective frontline services available to OFW-clients.
The offices are DFA, OWWA, TESDA, PRC, MARINA, HDMF, PHILHEALTH, SSS, PSA, BI, NBI, CHED and POEA.
Present during the opening program were Mayor Peter Miguel, Vice-Mayor Eliordo Ogena, DOLE 12 Regional Director Albert Gutttib, Regional Directors of DOLE 12 family and other national line agencies, OFW associations and other stakeholders.
A formal ribbon-cutting led by the Mayor culminated the activity.
