President Bongbong Marcos leads nationwide launch of the “Kadiwa ng Pasko” project aimed at promoting local products and empower the farming community by providing a direct farm-to-consumer food supply chain that eliminates several marketing layers, allowing producers to earn more while at the same time providing consumers with affordable high-quality local products.
Fourteen (14) sites opened simultaneously across the country including 11 in Metro Manila, one in Tacloban City, one in Davao De Oro, and one in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The Kadiwa ng Pasko project was conceptualized to address inflation by providing the people with affordable goods especially in the upcoming holiday season in coordination with the Department of Agriculture (DA) as the lead agency.
This is also in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
In his speech the President stressed that Kadiwa was revived to alleviate the burden of Filipinos brought about by high prices of commodities and they will not stop rolling out Kadiwa sites until it truly becomes a nationwide program.
