The Provincial Government of South Cotabato through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) immediately extends assistance to the flood-affected families in the towns of Banga and Norala due to a series of heavy rain.
Based on the report, the said flood resulted in the destruction of some houses, and properties, and even the loss of animals.
Furthermore, 9 barangays of the town of Banga with 137 families are affected, and 150 families in the town of Norala.
Immediately the PDRRMO provides initial assistance like food packs, hygiene kits, and others.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) also provides shelter assistance for damaged houses.
