PLGU SoCot released PHP2M Financial Assistance to ARBOs

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato through its Provincial Planning and Development Office initiated the release of PHP2 Million Pesos worth of financial assistance to five (5) Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations in South Cotabato during the Monday Convocation Program last February 19, 2024.

The PHP2 Million financial assistance is intended for the ongoing construction of Processing Buildings located in the Municipalities of: Tupi, Surallah, T’boli, Tantangan, and Norala.

The following ARBO’s will receive PHP400,000.00 pesos each:

  • Cebuano Small Coconut Farmers MPC (CSCFMPC) – Brgy. Cebuano, Tupi, South Cotabato,
  • Sawmill Coconut Vegetable Farmers Association (SACOVEFA) – Brgy. Naci, Surallah, South Cotabato,
  • T’boli Agrarian Reform Women’s Association (TAWRA) – Brgy. Edwards, T’boli, South Cotabato,
  • Maibo Barangay Water System Association (MABAWASA) – Brgy. Maibo, Tantangan, South Cotabato and;
  • Kababaihang May Likas na Kakayahan at Talino (KABALIKAT-RIC) – Brgy. Poblacion, Norala, South Cotabato

Together with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), beneficiaries through Mr. Danilo L. Daroca, expressed their gratitude to the Governor through committing to work towards the improvement and strengthening of their association and cooperatives.

“Dako ang pagpasalamat namon kay Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. sa bulig nga gihatag niya sa amon nga asosasyon kag kooperatiba. Dako ini sya nga oportunidad sa amon para mas ma improve kag mapasanyog pa gid ang amon asosasyon kag kooperatiba” Danilo L. Daroca – president of the Maibo Barangay Water System Assocation said in his acceptance speech.

The Provincial Government aims to aid the various ARBOs in producing market-competitive products through value addition, competent management and operate enterprise and livelihood activities, and contribute to economic development through the construction of the processing building facilities.

Last November 2023, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved the request of the governor for the Appropriation of the PHP2 Million counterpart fund of the PLGU through the Resolution No. 783.
