South Cotabato, August 15 2024 – Provincial Information Officer, Rudy S. Jimenea, who is also the provincial Nutrition Action officer, delivered crucial messages to the newly elected junior officials of South Cotabato. Jimenea, emphasized their role as role models in implementing effective and sustainable programs. He stressed the importance of nutritious food, noting that young people cannot perform well academically if they do not have proper nourishment.
“ Paano ka maka -tuon kong kulang ka sang Nutrition? “-Jimenea stressed.
Jimenea highlighted that understanding and practicing correct nutrition is vital for youth development. He pointed out that good eating habits lay the foundation for better learning and overall well-being. This message underscores the significance of making informed choices about food from a young age.
The official also called for support to delay Teenage Pregnancy to allow time for personal and educational development.
He said early pregnancy can significantly impact a young person’s ability to pursue education, career opportunities, and personal growth, which are crucial for building a stable and fulfilling future.
“Delaying pregnancy provides the opportunity to achieve financial independence, emotional maturity, and a strong support system, all of which are essential for raising a child in a healthy and stable environment.
He encourages young leaders to create activities that strengthened programs in avoiding teenage pregnancy.
Furthermore, Jimenea urged the youth to dedicate themselves to their studies, emphasizing their potential to become future leaders. He expressed confidence in their abilities and potential, encouraging them to leverage their education and skills to lead effectively in the future.
“ Bilang mga kabataan kamo ang mangin pag-asa sa tagsa tagsa ka mga kumunidad nyu, nagakaangay nga maki- alam ukon kuliton nyu ang mga lider nyu sa Barangay nga mag sinapol para sa ikaayo kag ika uswag sa kong sa diin kamo nga barangay ukon community” –Jimenea said.
Jimenea aimed to inspire and motivate young officials the importance of nutrition, sustainable practices, and educational commitment as they prepare to take on leadership roles in their communities.
