PPO launches “Juana, MaArt Ka” mural competition

In line with the 2022 Women’s Month Celebration, the Provincial Population Office (PPO) launches the “Juana, MaArt Ka”, a mural competition to showcase the talent and skills of women from the province’s ten towns and lone city.
Provincial Population Officer Zenaida Duron disclosed that the event highlights women’s achievements, continuing and emerging women’s empowerment, and gender and equality issues and concerns, challenges, and commitments amid the pandemic.
The competition was participated by 11 teams composed of two participants from the province’s ten towns and lone city. It aims to showcase the talents and skills of women ages 18 to 60 years old in painting encompassing all aspects of womanhood and its importance on nation-building.
Here is the  result of the competition :
First Place: Entry #1 from Tupi – P20k+ cert
2nd Place :Entry # 6 from Tantangan-P15k + cert
3rd Place: Entry #3 from Sto. Niño – P10k +cert
People’s Choice Award:  Entry No.8 from the Municipality of Surallah –  Php 3,000.00.
Non winners receive Php4,500 each + cert as consolation prizes.
Judges during the competition include Jezza Mae Nuñez as chairperson, with Mr. Henry Santander and Mr.Niel Jay Castante.
The awarding ceremony was spearheaded by Provincial Administrator Atty.Renette B.Bergado, Provincial Population Officer Ms. Zenaida Duron, and PPO IV Ms. Melanie Chiva.
