Diisinfection of provincial offices in South Cotabato will continue on a regular basis, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) disclosed, due to the surge of Corona Virus Disease (CoViD) – 19 that spiked at the provincial capitol when a number of employees were tested positive.
Rolly Doane Aquino, O-I-C PDRRMO said that disinfection Is scheduled every Friday at 4pm except when PDRRMO is busy responding to calamities or emergency concerns where it will be conducted by his disinfection team on Saturday.
PDRRMO is now on high alert due to continuous rains that resulted in the occurrence of flash floods brought by typhoons and Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
As of the present, 5 towns in the province encountered flashfloods in which PDRRMO responded with relief distribution and provision of Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel that assisted in the retrieval of the body of the flash flood victim from Norala.
