CITY OF KORONADAL — The Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Provincial Implementation Team (RPRH-PIT) chaired by Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Rogelio Aturdido Jr. recently conducted their meeting in Barney’s here to tackle RPRH issues and concerns in South Cotabato.
After the brief preliminaries and opening message of Provincial RPRH-PIT Vice-Chairperson Provincial Population Officer Zenaida Duron, Marifort Rafael, RN of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) presented the Universal Health Care (UHC) Road Map, discussing the milestones and highlights of UHC to members of RPRH-PIT.
It likewise tackled in their agenda the following topics with their discussants, namely; POPCOM 12 House-to-House Survey/ RPFP in the Workplace (PPO II Tristan Navos), SPKP Update – Gerald Lozarita (IPHO-IT), Teenage Pregnancies/ Mental Health Updates – Statistician John Lemuel Dalisay (IPHO).
The meeting ended with the summary of agreements that the team will undertake before their second meeting scheduled on August this year.
These include Strategizing the implementation of the survey, with the possible inclusion of FP Data to UHC, IPHO-PPO will collaborate on data sharing, Coordination of FP Coordinators with PPO volunteers (with the list of PPVs to be submitted to PHNs for acknowledgment), Invite NGO Reach Health to RHU meetings for the RHU to know what interventions that the said NGO is undertaking in their respective area), among others.
The RPRH PIT is composed of 20 members coming from provincial government offices, national line agencies, youth, religious and civil society organizations.
