Shell Nat’l Art Contest winner joins NAM Visual Arts Exhibit

CITY OF KORONADAL — This one is for the record fpr South Cotabato. A 20-year old second year B.S. Archjtecture student of Notre Dame of Marbel University here landed top 10 in the Shell National Art Contest held last year in Metro Manila.

And what is more outstanding is that his 18” x 22’” water color painting was the lone entry from Mindanao out of the total 2,900 entries!

Mark Angelo Garmino, the student-artist from Lake Sebu disclosed in an interview that he is just a self-taught artist, who finished his work of art in 2 weeks time.

With no sufficient budget, he just sent his entry through  a courier.

His painting is now on display at the KCC Mall of Marbel Activity Center where the National Arts Month Visual Arts Exhibit is on-going.
