SoCot extends help to one barangay in town of Matanao

MATANAO, DAVAO DEL SUR- The Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. in partnership with the “Balikbayan Group of South Cotabato”, conducted the Medical Mission and Relief Distribution at Brgy. Asinan, Municipality of Matanao, Davao del sur.

This barangay has been identified as the most affected by succeeding quake that brought severe damaged in their homes and livelihood.

Through the help of Balikbayan Group, the Provincial Government facilitated their request to send their humanitarian effort directly to the affected family.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) gather the children on the said barangay in the tent city to provide Psychological first aid to recover from the trauma that they experienced.

We bring also doctors and nurses to cater the medical needs of the children and senior citizens who are ill.

The following are the assistance being given to Brgy. Asinan:
1. 220 Food Packs
2. 5 Case of Odong
3. 3 Case of Ovaltine
4. 43 Bottled Water Mineral (6 liters)
5. 2 Case Mineral Water (500 ML)
6. Boxes of Assorted Medicine

As of now the constituents of the said barangay are waiting for the establishment of relocation site provided by the provincial government of Davao del sur together with the municipal government of Matanao.

“Nagpasalamat kami sa lgu bangkal at sa nagpahiram ng lupa na nag offer na pahiramin kami until na malipat kami sa relocation site na binigay sa amin ng butihing governor ng Davao del sur.” He added.

A message of gratitude extends to the “Balikbayan Group ng South Cotabato” an OFW’s organization that made a collaborative effort to put a smile on the face of our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake.
