South Cotabato: Compliant with DBM Requirements

Koronadal City, South Cotabato – South Cotabato is one (1) of the seven (7) Mindanao provinces that have complied with the requirement of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to post on their websites how they spent the millions of pesos given them under the Bayanihan Grant for Cities and Municipalities (BGCM) and Bayanihan Grant for Provinces (BGP).

The total number of provinces in Mindanao is twenty seven (27), while the total number of cities is  thirty three (33).

The other provinces that have complied with the same are the following: Agusan del Norte, Basilan, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur.

On the other hand, the cities are: Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iligan, Isabela, Island Garden City of Samal, Malaybalay, Oroquieta and Tagum.

This gesture is just another proof that South Cotabato is an open government- a government that is transparent, participatory and accountable towards its citizens.

The total amount of Bayanihan Grant for Mindanao Provinces is P1,862, 791, 780. 00, with Bukidnon as the highest recipient, while the total amount for the Mindanao Cities is P3, 141, 427, 792. 00. with Davao City as the highest recipient.
