South Cotabato reaches 95% target on Measles-Rubella vaccination

South Cotabato has already reached 95% of its target beneficiaries in the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) of the Department of Health (DOH) as of November 27 this year, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) reported.

IPHO disclosed that vaccination teams already immunized 85,903 out of the 90,508 (or equivalent to 94.91%) infants and children aged 9 – 59 months old of MR vaccines on fixed posts in the province, regardless of past vaccination status from October 26 – November 27.

MRSIA was scheduled October 26- November 25 but due to the initial low turnout in the province it was until November 27, and further extended to December 4 this year.

Topping the list among LGUs in the 32-day immunization period is T’boli at102% (9,253 out of 9,044) followed by Norala at 100% (4,613 out of 4,610).

Likewise, LGUs with 99% accomplishment are Banga (8,229 out of 8,300), Lake Sebu (8,587 out of 8,650) and Sto. Nino (4,006 out of 4,048).

Surallah meanwhile recorded 96% (8.065 out of 8,363), followed by Tupi  at 95% (6,567 out of 6,922), City of Koronadal at 92% (15,944 out of 17,302),    Polomolok at 89% (13,414 out of 15,088),  Tampakan at 89% (3,480 out of 3,904) and  Tantangan 88% (3,745 out of 4,277).
