South Cotabato’s Free Transport Service benefits 42 patients in August

A total of 42 patients in South Cotabato benefited from the free patient transport vehicle service this August, a program spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). The initiative aims to provide free transportation for patients being transferred to hospitals and back to their homes.

According to Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer-in-Charge Rolly Doane Aquino, this service is part of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr.’s directive to ensure that the transport service, including the driver, fuel, and staff assisting the patients, is free of charge.

Aquino further explained that the program is part of Governor Tamayo’s “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo” (Right and Proper Service), ensuring that people do not have to worry during emergencies or when they need assistance from the government.

For those who wish to avail of this service, the PDRRMO operation center is available 24/7. Globe and TM subscribers can contact 0927-542-6430, while Smart and Talk N Text subscribers can reach 0969-191-5810.
