SouthCot’s 9-month Mining, Quarry Tax reaches P10.3-M

The Sand, Gravel and Mining (SGM) Tax Collection from January to September this year of the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) reached P10,317,720.63.

PEMOis previous September SGM tax collection was P1,449,980.00 while its previous January to August or 8-month collection totaled P 8,867,740.63.

Its 9-month SGM tax revenue increased to an average of P 1,146,413.40 a month from its previous P1.1 million a month average collection.

With the upward trend in monthly collection PEMO expects to exceed the P12 million-mark in total collection before the year ends.

The provincial SGM tax collection share now totaled P 4,021,526.58.for the first 9 months of this year.

The provincial imposition on Sand and Gravel include; Sand and Gravel Tax, Mining Tax, Mining Permit Fee, Ore Transport Fee, Occupational Mining Tax, Verification Fee, Filing Fee, Permit Fee, Projection Fee, Processing Fee, Fines/Penalties or Surcharges, Miscellaneous Fee or Delivery Receipts.
