SP mulls establishing gallery for photos, documents

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) is planning to establish a gallery or museum to safe-keep its records and photos collected from 19966 (the year South Cotabato was created) up to present, Vice-Governor Vicente de Jesus disclosed

Vice-Governor de Jesus hired a team of consultants to undertake the project which aims to collect and archive all SP ordinance and resolutions, and photos of all Vice-Governors, Board Members and other SP officials from the past up to the present.

With the latest information technology at hand, the consultants have already “scan copied” more than 1,000 photos and documents already, according to Vice-Governor de Jesus.

“We were able to collect photos of the first Governor, SP members and other officials courtesy of donors, and we would to thank them because of their generosity. And we are still requesting the public who have old photos of our officials or even the old buildings at the Capitol if they could share it with us,” De Jesus added.

The Vi-Governor plans to materialize the project next year and hoped to completely frame the photos and documents for exhibit
