Visitors’ registration to SC-CCTS needed upon entry to SouthCot

Visitors and non-residents are encouraged to register online to the South Cotabato -Covid-19 Contact Tracing System  (SC-CCTS) since they are obliged to present their CCTS card at the checkpoints upon entry to the province.

Based on the Ordinance No. 13 Series of 2020 recently passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the South Cotabato-CCTS covers not only business establishments government offices and residents but also visitors as well.

Considered as “visitors” include those who are non-residents but work inside the province, with business transactions and those who just pass by the territorial jurisdiction of the province.

Aside from the presentation of the CCTS card at the checkpoints upon entry to the province, it is also needed upon entry to the malls, shopping center, government offices, and other public utilities and spaces such as public terminals, public markets, and public transports.

Provincial Planning Coordinator Jennifer Bretaña,  visitors are encouraged to register online.

Based on the procedures made by the SC-CCTS Implementing Team, these are the steps for Visitors’ Online Registration.

  1. Go to the southcotabato.ph., Click Register and select Citizen menu
  2. Fill- up the form that appears with relevant information. Click Register when done.
  3. Wait for the verification email. Follow the instructions to verify your identity.
  4. You will then receive a confirmation email with your printable CCTS ID.

The SC-CCTS as a way of identifying individuals if they have come close contact with positive cases of covid-19.

Based on the report coming from the implementing team, barangays registrants have reached at least 80 percent registration accomplishments,  while  20 percent came from walk-ins.

For Government offices, at least 99 percent already registered with only six agencies remaining.

Earlier, the municipalities of Tampakan and  Polomolok have launched the SC-CCTS in their respective municipalities, while the province-wide launching was held early this week led by the provincial government.

With the full implementation of the province’s contact tracing system, it is hoped that the spread and transmission of the virus will be contained immediately whenever they are exposed to confirmed positive patients.
