KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO- Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. narrated how the private and public hospitals working together to establish a hospital from an infirmary to a covid center intended for covid patients only.
Anchors of TV5 “the chiefs” program invited Governor Tamayo to give updates on covid response in the province.
“Way back March 2020, we created a covid hospital intended for covid patients only. Lahat ng private at public hospitals nag ambag-ambag upang ma establish ang isang covid hospitals at ngayon makapag cater na tayo ng 100-150 covid patients.” Governor Tamayo said during the interview.
Through a strong partnership also of private and public medical practitioners (doctors, nurses, midwifes, etc.) the Upper Valley Community Hospital (UVCH) has transformed into a covid center in a couple of days.
Meanwhile, there is an ongoing transition between the Department of Health Region XII and the provincial Government of South Cotabato for proper turn-over before the year ends.
After the transition, it will become the regional hospital known as SOCCSKSARGEN General Hospital.
