Thirteen (13) sitios or puroks in the province will benefit from line extension project under the rural electrification program of South Cotabato for 2015.
Two million pesos was allotted by the province for said electrification program of which the list of recipients was submitted by South Cotabato Electric Cooperative (SOCOTECO) I General Manager Santiago Tudio, in a letter sent to Governor Daisy Fuentes.
SOCOTECO I, which covers majority of the LGUs under its area of operation, will undertake the project implementation of the electrification program of the province.
The first list or batch of recipients has a budget of P1,140,945.14 with a total of 98 households benefitting from the project.
These include Lamian National High School in Lamian, Surallah; Sitio Lambato to Lambuling in Talufo, T’boli; Marbel 1 Central Elementary School, Gen. Paulino Santos, Puroks Camia and Sampaguita, New Pangasinan and Gen. Santos Drive (left side), Saravia, all in Koronadal City.
Meanwhile, the additional list comprising of 128 households/beneficiaries include Puroks Felipe, Rizal, Aquino and Masagana B in Koronadal City; Puroks 4 and 5 in Tantangan; Purok Rosas, Little Baguio, Surallah and Purok 3 A, Maltana, Tampakan.
The budget for the additional list totaled P 842,590.20.
