KORONADAL CITY- An estimated 800 participants from Zamboanga Peninsula Region (R9), the Northern Mindanao (R10), Davao Region, (R11), SOCCSKSARGEN (R12), CARAGA (R13), and BARMM will be attending the highly anticipated 3rd Mindanao Summit for Family Welfare Committees, Inc. (SFFWCI) on September 5-6, 2019 to be held at KCC Convention Center, Gen. Santos City.
DOLE Regional Directors from different part of Mindanao, other guests and official of DOLE agencies are expected to join the summit.
Earlier today during the press conference held at Cinco Niñas , Edward P. Lacanilao, the President of SFFWCI, said that the 2 days summit will introduce the concept of promoting the safety and welfare of workers and their families as a key to workplace productivity. Also, he introduced the family-centered approach as described under Department Order No. 56-03.
The said conference also highlights the 10 dimensions of the Family Welfare Program of DOLE as the new priorities where it is also the topic to be discussed on the said summit and these are the follows:
- Reproductive Health and Responsible Parenthood
- Education/ Gender Equality
- Spirituality or Value Formation
- Income Generation/Livelihood/Cooperative
- Medical Health Care
- Nutrition
- Environment Protection, hygiene and Sanitation
- Sports and Leisure
- Housing
- Transportation
