Some 906 alien visitors toured South Cotabato from January to June this year, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museim (ACTM) Unit reported.
Richie Matunding, ACTMU Statistician disclosed that American topped the list with 281 arrivals followed by Indian with 185, Canadian 144, South Korean 56, Chinese 41, Japanese 25, Australian 23, Costa Rican 21, Russians 16, German 16, British 13, African 12, while 28 declared themselves as European.
Single-digit contributors include Colombian 1, Irish 4, Omani 4, Thai 7, Norwegian 2, Singaporean 5, Italian 1, Brunei 1, Saudi 1, Egyptian 1, Irish 1, Polish 4, Hungarian 4, Spanish 4, Malaysian 1, Dutch 4, Austrian 1.
The purpose of the tourists’ visit ranges from pleasure, business, educational/research, ACTMU noted.
