A story of success shares by drug dependent at “Balay Silangan” Reformatory Center

TUPI, SOUTH COTABATO- Almost two months ago since it was opened for operation, members of the team came to visit at “Balay Silangan” Reformatory Center at Purok A, Poblacion, Tupi, South Cotabato.

One of the chosen drug dependents shares his memorable experience and on how “balay silangan” transformed them into a better and a new person of this generation.

“Hindi nagid ko magbalik sa bisyo kag droga kag sa mga friends ko nga naghulog sa akon sa sini nga sitwasyon.” Alyas “don-don” said during the interview of the team.

Alyas don-don pledged to separate himself from this bad habit.

“Siguro ang papa ko, almost 2 years na kami waay nagkitaay, pagkitaay namon first ko nga dakop July 18, 2018 ginbisita niya ko, nagtulo gid luha niya nakita ko sa lock-up tapos amo na tong una niya nga bisita sa akon wala na dayon. Siguro mangayo ko pasaylo sa iya sa nahimo ko kay waay gid siya nag expect nga amo to ang natabo.” Alyas “don-don” shares his emotions if there is one person that he wants to talk at the moment.

He also extends words of thanks to the persons behind this program for transforming him into a better person.

“I am forever grateful to the people behind this reformatory center like PDEA, the staff, pastor, and to sir Jovero for the intervention they’ve extended for making us the better person.” Alyas “don-don” added.

Furthermore, he also would like to extend his words of thanks to Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. for this program.

“Governor Tamayo, salamat gid sa imo kay kung wala ka wala gid nag open dire siguro basi ara kami sa Cagayan ukon sa Davao city ginpakigbato mo gid ni bangod sa pagpalangga mo sa amon. Madamo gid nga Salamat Governor Tamayo.” He said.
