ACTM conducts province-wide Tourism Caravan

The Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Development and Promotions Unit  has started this February its province-wide Tourism Caravan as part of its awareness and information-education campaign on tourism-oriented establishments (TOEs) and tourism-related establishments (TREs) on the accreditation program of the Department of Tourism (DOT).

                    Tourism Operations Officer I Francisco Cerbo Jr., ACTM Focal Person on Tourism Caravan/Accreditation disclosed that they are conducting site visits and checking of pertinent documents relevant to the operation of the TOEs and TREs which  they submit to DOT for processing.

                    “The final step will be the joint site visit of ACTM with DOT on TOEs and TREs, and after which DOT will decide if they are eligible for accreditation or not,” TOO Cerbo added.

                    The Tourism/Accreditation Caravan schedule were as follows: February 2 – 5 (Lake Sebu); : March 4 – 5 (Banga); March 10 -12 (Norala): March 15 – 17 (Tboli) ;March 25 – 26 (Tantangan).

                    Moreover, ACTM will also conduct Capability Seminar on Filipino Brand of Service and a meeting with the Provincial Tourism Council of South Cotabato (PTCSC) on the first semester of the year.

                    Last February 12 -14, some ACTM staff together with Tboli Tourism Office likewise trekked to Lake Holon dubbed as “FEB-Ibig: Lake Holon Climb” as part of its marketing nd promotions campaign on eco-tourism sites and destinations in the province.(photo credit: google.com)
