ACTM presents Tourism Dev’t Plan, Touerrism Code

The Arts, Culture, Tourism & Museum Unit (ACTMU) presented recently the  Tourism Development Plan for 2023 – 2028 and Provincial Toourism Code of South Cotabat

          Tourism Operations Officer Anna Liza Mondejar, ACTMU Planning, Research, Product and Manpower Development chief made the presentation during a meeting with   Tourism Officers and Planning Officers of the 10 municipalities and lone city of the province.

          With numerous issues and challenges confronting the tourism industry, Mondejar disclosed that the strategic plan as embodied in the Vision Statement is to achieve “An equitably growing, highly competitive, responsive and resilient Tourism Hub by 2028.”

          The vision is further reinforced of the Mission Stament that is “To “Capitalize  on  and Preserve South Cotabato”s  Natural, Historical, Cultural and Recreational Resources in a way that will enrich South Cotabato’s Heritage and Tourism Revenue.”

          Present also during the meeting is Atty. Sylvie Blanche Tandog, Special Projects Officer under the Office of Vice-Goveernor Arthur Y. Pingoy Jr.

          With the approval of the body, the Tourism Development Plan for 2023 – 2028 and Provincial Tourism Code of South Cotabato will be presented to the Provincial Development Council (PDC) during their regular quarterly meeting for endorsement to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) for legislative action.
