ACTM validates cultural mapping program of TUPI LGU

The Arts, Culture, Tourism & Museum (ACTM) Unit through their Culture & Arts Section initially validated the cultural mapping program of the municipality of Tupi among its 15 barangays recently.

The respective Mapper of the barangays in attemdamce presented the 20 Cultural Icons located in their community  during validation. Barangay Captains of the different barangays which acted as Enumerator with their respective IPMR also attended the validation.

            Engr. Hans Cydeil Fernandez, Cultural Mapping Editor likewise attended the validation and assisted the barangay enumerators and mappers in their cultural mapping write-up.

            Melba Jambangan, the first DepED IP District Supervisor (retired) and Tupi Culture & Arts Coordinator acted as one of the key informants during the validation session. Jambangan is also considered as one of the icons of her town.

`           ACTM Culture & Arts Coordinator Indira Cagaanan led the validation last July 7 – 8 at Mt. Matutum Domesville Glamping at Kablon, Tupi, one of the newest tourist attraction in the province that offers “Glamorous Camping” with the picturesque Mt. Matutum at the background.  

            The barngays that attended the first validation on July 7 were Poblacion, Simbo, Palian and Crossiing Rubber wile barangays that attended the second validation on July 8 were Bunao, Kalkam, kablon and Linan.

            The last batch of the initital validation will be held on July 25 with Barangays Polonuling, Acmonan, Tubeng, Sebuano, Bulol-Mala and Lunen in attendance.
