21 CSOs apply for provincial accreditation

CITY 0F KORONADAL — Some twenty one (21) Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) here have applied for accreditation with the provincial government of South Cotabato, particularly in joining the membership of the Provincial Development Council (PDC), the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) disclosed.

Planning Officer Eugene Tumilap said that the CSOs that applied comprised of former PDC members from 2013 – 2016 and also new applicants.

Former PDC members that re-applied are Women’s Indigenous Focus For Enhancement Inc., OND HESED Foundation Inc., Social Action Center – Diocese of Marbel, Girl Scouts of the Philippines – South Cotabato Council, Boy Scouts of the Philippines – South Cotabato Council, Mango Industry Development Council Inc., South Cotabato Foundation Inc., World Vision Development Foundation Inc., Tribal Leaders Development Foundation Inc., South Coabato Chamber of Commerce and industry Foundation inc., Maguindanaoan Development Foundation Inc., Coalition of Social Development Organizations, Save the Children Philippines and Chiu Bun Gim Foundation Inc.

New applicants meanwhile are Surallah-Banga Communal Irrigators Association, Inc., International Care Ministries Inc., South Cotabato Retired Public School Teachers Association Inc., Buto Farmers Association, Denounce VAWC, Advocate in Defense for Violence-Free Family, King’s Duolos Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and Restore Ministries International Inc.

Tumilap likewise added that they will transmit the request for accreditation of the 21 CSOs to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for endorsement and approval.

A meeting with the CSOs will also be called, Tumilap further added, to reconstitute the new membership of the PDC for 2016 – 2019.
